Once you define your upload definitions, you may want to schedule your uploads so you don’t have to upload your tables manually.
First of all, you need to enter the scheduler. Locate this menu item:
Then decide how often you want to upload you tables to BigQuery. You can have the spreadsheet uploaded hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly.
Then decide at which hour of the day.
And finally, press “Save Schedule”.
Keep in mind, that if you select e. g. 20:00, the trigger will not fire at exactly 20:00. It will fire between 20:00 – 21:00. This a limitation on Google’s side and we cannot really do much about it.
Another thing to remember is that the scheduler will upload ALL your ENABLED upload definitions. It is not possible to upload just selected tables at this point.
If you have a suspicion that some of the scheduled uploads are not working, you can enter the log of the recent upload by clicking the “Show Logs” button and see which tables are failing to be uploaded (if any). The log is always showing the results for the last 10 scheduled uploads.
